Events

As the membership grows, more events will be organised and we would appreciate suggestions from members.

At present, the main event is our Annual Summer Outing to churches where we are expertly guided and warmly welcomed. It is hoped that all members of the Trust will be able to attend these events. Full details will be sent to members, who are warmly invited to make up parties to accompany them at both the AGM and the Summer Outing. If you are not a member of the Trust, but are interested in finding out more about the Trust’s work or are interested in attending future events please contact the Honorary Secretary.

Summer Outing

Each year the Trust arranges a Summer Outing which is a great opportunity to meet other members. It consists of a tour of two or three churches recently grant-aided by the Trust, after pub or picnic lunches. The tour is led by a specialist – often the architect – and tea is normally provided at the last church. This year's outing was held on Saturday June 26th 2010 to the Isle of Wight. AGM

The AGM is another social occasion, usually taking place in a church which we have helped. The short formal meeting is followed by refreshments and then a lecture about the building’s history and architecture. This year's well attended AGM was held on Wednesday 28th April at the University of Winchester, West Downs Campus where the Vice Chancellor Professor Joy Carter gave a talk and arranged a guided tour of the Campus.
