Advantages of becoming a member of the trust

Would you like to find out more about the wonderful range of church buildings of every age and every denomination to be found in the county?

Invitation

One way is to join us. Just £10 a year (see below for membership rates) makes you a member of the Hampshire and the Islands Historic Churches Trust, providing an opportunity to learn about the County’s churches and to take part in the important contribution the Trust makes to their preservation.

Each year, members visit a group of churches which the Trust has recently helped, led by architects and historians with special knowledge of each one. Go to Events for a description of previous Summer Outings or news of our next one.

Members attend our Annual General Meeting, normally held in either April or May in a restored church which has been grant-aided by the Trust. This is followed by refreshments and by a lecture. This brings a chance to meet other members and hear more about our work. All members receive our Annual Report. As our membership grows we hope to increase the number of events and we are open to suggestions on the form these might take.

The Trust benefits financially from your subscriptions and from your awareness of our work which you take into other parts of your lives.
