Ride and Stride

This takes place on the second Saturday of September between 10am and 6pm. Anyone can take part by bicycle, on foot, in a wheelchair or on horseback to raise money for the region's historic churches and chapels of all denominations. Participants seek sponsorship to visit as many churches on the yearly list as they wish. They plan their own route and set their own speed. This year, for the first time, churches in the New Forest will be open to visit.

What is the purpose?

Ride and Stride involves people of all ages who spend an enjoyable day raising money for repairs and restoration to the churches and chapels of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Half the money you raise goes to the church of your choice. This event is a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to discover the rich heritage of our historic church buildings.
